The design task begins with an in-depth exploration of Waldeckpark near Moritzplatz in Berlin. Through various analyses and research, we examine the site in terms of atmosphere, history, topography, vegetation, and material. The goal is to create a place that connects the neighborhood and reactivates the park.

We propose an interplay of different program areas that present distinct characters, such as playgrounds, a skatepark, calisthenics, cafés, and generally calmer park zones. The activities follow the organic path structure along the edges, which drops by one step toward the center and provides a continuous seating ledge. The park is framed by a designed topography, forming a natural, protected area without imposing physical boundaries. Outer green spaces contrast with the inner lawn and are densely planted. At the same time, the planting along the street maintains visual contact with the surrounding paths, creating an inviting porosity.
